Pre-employment Screening
- All applicants to whom a conditional offer of employment is extended
must successfully complete a drug and/or alcohol test as a part of the
application process. Scheduled Periodic Testing - All participants will be subject to testing for drub and/or alcohol use on a random selection basis. Random testing will be conducted on at least 25% of the total pool of participants annually. A participant may be picked more than once or not at all during the year. Reasonable Suspicion Testing- If the employer has a reasonable suspicion that the participant has violated this policy, the participant may be asked to submit to drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-Accident Testing - An employer may require an employee to undergo testing when the employee suffers work-related injury or is directly involved in a work-related task where another employee becomes injured.

Negative - If an
employee tests negative, he or she will be qualified to become a member in
the "Drug-free Workforce" and will be issued a "Drug-free Certification
Card". Positive - If an employee's test results are reported positive by the laboratory, a Medical Review Officer (MRO) will call him or her to discuss the results. The MRO will conduct an interview with the employee and then notify the Third Party Administrator (Charlotte LMCC office). If your test is confirmed as positive, the employee will be ineligible for employment and will not be issued a "Drug-Free Certification Card". The employee cannot re-enter the eligibility pool until the rehabilitation process is completed. CLICK HERE FOR A COMPLETE LIST OF TESTING FACILITIES
